OUr Story
We’re Lei and Chan, the founders of Da Souv Shack. Like many families, we’ve spent years doing whatever it takes to make ends meet. Chan works incredibly hard, holding a full-time job and taking on side work just to provide for our family. While we’re grateful, the hardest part has always been the time it takes away from being together. Da Souv Shack was created out of a desire to change that—to build something of our own that allows us to work side by side, spend more time as a family, and create a better future together.
Da Souv Shack was born at home, from a deep love for family, culture, and the way food brings people together. What started as making island-inspired crepes for loved ones slowly grew into something more—a dream of building a business rooted in culture, 'ohana, and community.
Our crepes are inspired by island flavors and comfort food favorites—sweet, savory, and always made with love. Each one reflects where we come from and what matters to us: warmth, culture, and sharing good food with good people.
How we operate
we are currently operating through pop-ups, vendor events, catering, and private bookings. We prepare fresh, made-to-order island-style crepes and serve them at community events, markets, and special gatherings. As we grow, we continue to invest in doing things the right way—operating legally, safely, and with care for our customers and our craft.
Our GOAL
Our goal is to grow Da Souv Shack sustainably—expanding our presence at pop-ups and catering events, and eventually launching a food truck or food trailer so we can reach more people and participate in larger festivals and community events. Long term, we hope Da Souv Shack becomes a stable source of income for our family, reduces the need for constant side work, and allows us to be more present with the people we love.
At its core, Da Souv Shack is about more than crepes. It’s about building something meaningful from the ground up, honoring our culture, supporting our 'OHANA, and proving that small, homegrown dreams can turn into something beautiful.
